Anyone... What part of the Federal Antitrust Laws were broken by Rambus? From what I know about law and from what I know about how Rambus makes money, I say no laws have been broken. But I'm not an attorney. I'm sure we have a few attorneys that could shed some light on this even if it's not there specialty. How does a company like Rambus that manufactures no products fall into the antitrust category? Can there be antitrust when the only thing you are protection is IP through patents?
If Antitrust laws were not broken then why would Micron file such a suit? For the same reason that many suits are filed... intimidation. Look for a counter suit and a very firm response from Rambus.
