Carter was an Evangelist and a good guy...but not a pragmatic President, IMHO... Jim- His presidency was certainly flawed. But his work with Habitat for Humanity and foreign election monitoring put him in the very upper echelon of ex-presidents. Where most of them retire to the golf course or go on the lecture circuit, Carter has remained involved and active in trying to solve many of the most pressing human problems. Frank
