IMO, CSCO is doing well, because of IOS, not the router hardware. Not sure if Juniper has an equivalent

Juniper has JUNOS, which was written by some of the same software engineers who wrote IOS at Cisco. I haven't heard much lately, but from what I read early on (ie pre-Juniper IPO days), JUNOS was a pretty nice OS and comparable (if not better than!) IOS....

At this stage, my $s are on CSCO

Mine too, because I'd rather have my money in a gorilla who plays in all aspects of networking, not just routers. In any case, I hope to lighten up soon to make a new car purchase (my '65 Buick isn't cutting it anymore with these gas prices <gg> )
