You also need to read my posts a little more thoroughly. Clinton did wrong things. I'll say it again. You listening? Clinton did wrong things. Because he did those wrong things, he was impeached. That's the way the system works. However, the impeachment prosecutors failed to obtain a simple majority on either vote, with the Senate serving as the jury. Clinton was thoroughly embarrassed. If the Republicans were smart, they would have censured him; embarrassed him before his Capitol Hill colleagues. But the Republicans weren't smart. They went for the $500,000 question when they should have stopped at $32,000. End of story, right? Wrong. It's become sport now to continue throwing mud at the embarrassed president to see if some of the dirt will stick. It keeps going on and on and on and on... I'm tired of it. In poll after poll, the American people also say they're tired of it. So why does it continue? Because so many people (many of whom post on this board) continue to be enraged. If you want to blame anyone, blame the Republican impeachment managers. You and DMA and Neo and J1allen need to get over it and move on with your lives. Clinton will be old news in a few months. The Republicans, if they're smart, won't worry about Clinton anymore; instead, they should focus on Gore. But the Republicans aren't smart; they're too angry to be smart. I really don't care whether Clinton technically committed perjury or obstruction of justice, in the legal definition of the terms. The guy's been thoroughly embarrassed and punished enough. Time to move on.
