I'm not calling you a liar. --- Well, that's a step in the right direction. --- That there were posts to SunSolve was taken on authority of a Sun enterprise level SysAdmin who had direct experience with a problem. --- Please put this in the proper context. This isn't like a floating point bug found in a Pentium processor. It's not like Ford and it's Explorer. It's not like Boeing and the 737 or MD whatever. These machines are complex custom high-end machines running in a myriad of configurations and environments. There isn't a single 'fix' (like a recall). The 'problem' has had multiple solutions, and the 'problem' in fact hasn't been absolutely isolated. Maybe it can't be. --- There is absolutely no cause to point your finger at Sun, as you did, and say 'aha! no press release means coverup!' (or whatever). That's silly. --- On the same token it's equally silly of the other fellow to go off on 'Sun quality'. All the evidence regarding the quality of Sun product and service (even in the very Computerworld piece WATSONYOUTH ran with) says that Sun quality has improved and continues to improve exponentially. That doesn't happen with people sweeping things under rugs. -JCJ
