I think what reflects even more poorly is Gore's refusal to acknowledge the statement now that he is in the midst of a run. JLA

What Bush and Liimbo and you and J1allen need to realize is that this race ain't Bush vs. Clinton. As much as you would like it to be Bush vs. Clinton, it ain't.

Between now and Oct. 1, Georgie needs to get his act together. He needs to stop putting his foot in his mouth about military readiness and he needs to spell out the specifics of his programs to help America's middle class.

If I were a registered Republican, I'd be pretty concerned right now as to when/how George will recapture the momentum he had when he departed Philly.

As I said last night, Bush is the most unappealing GOP candidate since the '30s. Even people like David Gurgen are acknowledging that George ain't the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but bla bla bla it really doesn't matter because bla bla bla he'll surround himself with top-notch people like Powell, etc. bla bla bla.
