If I were a JNPR investor I would be concerned about the next moves from CSCO. Even a hint at a competitive product from the Gorilla would seem to undermine the potential future value of JNPR, and thus cause the present value to decline uninspiringly. I hear that Chambers' goals for this current year are for growth greater than we have seen from CSCO since the early '90's. 50% is what the analysts are expecting. Internally they are talking much higher. Faster growth will not be dependent on the high-end optical router market, but it may be a part of it.
