>>If Rambus points were not valid Micron would not be putting up this smokescreen lawsuit.<<

first, i hate micron tech and their touty management.

second, micron means business. they DO NOT want to pay royalties and WILL NOT unless forced. they will PUSH this to the limits.

my bet is rmbs' jedec violations put many, if not all or most, of its patents at great risk.

steve appleton (applesauce to me) has already gotten into a scuffle (and i understand applesauce won big ;-) with i believe it was rmbs' ceo or a vp at a party 1 1/2 years ago.

I'm very happy to see micron sues rambus. Now rambus can take off the kid gloves they've been using w/ micron and finish this whole thing. Micron has been the turd in the punch bowl since almost day one of the memory advancement iniative, and rambus has been gentlemenly professional the whole time. That's hard to do when dealing w/ an ego centered personality like appleton. Micron's influence, directly or indirectly, is the corner stone under all the bullshit articles, spun-up benchmarks, paid basher etc. Once micron goes down, all that crap will disipate.
