Richard, Not like we didn't have enough uncertainty! <G> I know special deals are made, but I don't think you can charge different royalty rates among your customers in this type of situation. Generally, I believe you can make deals all over the map as long as they're reasonably consistent from licensee to licensee. For example, you can negotiate a lower royalty rate by paying a larger up-front licensing fee. Or pay an even lower royalty rate by agreeing to push the technology exclusively (as Intel agreed to).
