aren't all good poets thieves, don? permission granted!

(for the record, that one came to me in a rare post-midnight moment of clarity. JDSDL hit me on this board too, but that one was obviously a no-brainer.)

>Is Solidum private, I can not been to find a public company by that name?

hope you did not infer that you should run out do a private placement. indeed, Solidum is very much closely held and one of the few remaining network processor houses (cf. Moto/C-Port, Vitesse/Sitera, Broadcom/Silicon Spice, et al.). you can check them out here:

although this piece may be more your speed:

>Are you folks aware of the Yahoo AMCC long club?

can't say that i often "slum" the Yahoo "boreds," but i will check it out. in fact, i took (read: stole) my motto when trolling message threads from Dave Rickey's CMOS-Bipolar-SiGe triage strategy: do everything that's humanly possible on Silicon Investor (CMOS); when SI can't get you there, do it on Motley Fool (Bipolar); and if Motley Fool can't do the job, then use Yahoo (SiGe).

ha!

btw, here's a link to the local skinny on the deal. perhaps the only worthwhile tidbit is that they were in "on and off" merger talks for 10 months.

hope this helps,
