Shares -

>>Goldman Sachs being the lead underwriter means that
they have a lot of discounted shares. Most likely they
were the ones who got to sell at $160.<<

a) what does the second part have to do with the first, and b) did GS really get "discounted" shares? Do you mean discounted from $160, or from $38?

I'm all for conspiracy theories, but weren't ALL the IPO shares sold at $38, including those allocated to AOL/Nok/Mot (that's them, right? I can never remember :), plus the overallocation to GS, right? And we're at about $38 now, 6 months later.

So I don't see that there's a strong argument they'd be selling at a profit. GS got paid for the underwriting; the shares they had to buy like everyone else at $38.

What am I missing?
