What surprised me is that AMD didn't rally.

My purely unscientific take on it was a lot of institutional (pension funds, insurance companies and mutual funds etc )money pre-planned to sell AMD after Q2 earnings because they thought at that time the threat of the P4 was going to start kicking it. Heck, I even planned it that way.
Then they went on vacation...and obviously haven't bought back yet...despite Intel fopahs.
