There was a big drive to get computers in my sons elementary school, and they accumulated quite a few, but they only used them a few times as word processors. In middle school, in one year I signed a paper 3 separate times allowing my son to use the Internet in the library (they kept losing the forms), and he still never did anything at school. In high school, thus far, he has had two rather lame research projects involving computers at school, and he is entering his third year. Fortunately, he gets a lot of computer time at home........
