Sure I know lagniappe, something a little extra. The people that run stores like to give you a little extra to good customers to keep your business, maybe a piece of candy for the children, or maybe knock a little of the price of something. When you are giving someone something and give them something extra that's lagniappe.

BTW, I am woefully (~ a lot of people say that) pignorant of the World east of Truth or Consequences and Calgary. You can pretty much draw a line, on one of the map projections, N/S thru there, and I haven't crossed it. Boink. It's the backboard. It is kind of odd, when I think about it. There may not be anyone on SI who has traveled more of the roads of the West; and I've never been Out. It's like an amphetamine EtchaSketch (Saskatchewan) jammed on one side of the screen, going over and over and over and over, like a train in the front room, trying to go to the bathroom. Or something like that. The Lagniappe Express. Also, if I don't know what a word is? A thing? I might just borrow it for something else. It's okay with me, because I don't know what it is. Heh heh. It works great. I realize it might scare others. Who DO know, and say what the fuk? They don't take well to people using their words for Other things.
