This suit appears to be the same as the Infineon suit as far as patent infringement issues are concerned. Micron appears to have lodged similar defenses to the Hitachi suit, namely, the discredited JEDEC defense, the ridiculous anti-trust defense and seeking to have the relevant patent declared void by the Federal court.

Rambus in turn has a lot of options open to it, including, filing suit in Japan, Taiwan, Europe as well as possible ITC actions. I expect a strong response from RAMBUS.

Micron is going to need more than political pull with the Federal court to win their case since the matter will no doubt be decided by a jury if it goes that far. Rambus demanded a jury trial in the Hitachi case.

Whether you care about my opinion or not is irrelevant.
But any issues you raise will be addressed.
