thanks. After long thought, I've decided to bail on Rambus for the second time in a year--losing money both times, on a stock that has increased several-fold over that period. Some kind of putz, huh?

Basically, I just decided that there were other companies whose businesses I understood better and prospects I liked better, and it was causing me too much tsuris to try to develop strong hands on such a slick and jagged-edged stock. Seller's remorse, which was really why I got back in, just didn't offer a strong enough reason to hold on through FUD, crises, etc.

Besides, the Rambus thread has got to be the most dysfunctional collection of pathetic misfits I've ever come across, present company included. This was not a crowd I wanted to hang with, or felt comfortable relying on. So, realizing that discretion is the better part of valor and spurred by a story in the Journal today pointing out that most people don't sell their losers quickly enough, I just placed a GTC order at 82 and will get on with the rest of my life.
