Not all that clear if SPX wedge was broken on a closing basis on the daily chart; I need a 60-min. to see it clearly. So a rally is not out of the question here. FWIW, U.S. Steel in August 1937 broke its rising wedge, clung to it for three days, and then declined in earnest (E&M, p. 187). We sometimes need to remember that "rapid" is a pre-Internet term. ;-)
