Ted,

Is Luskin your brother?

Ted, OTS <the great inflation hoax> Mr. Luskins main points are well founded, IMO. His position on Laurence Meyer seems *NUTS* except from a political point of view.

Meyer was the only member to go on record during the Spring debates to say that productivity was overtaking inflation. (That was the meeting of the 1/2% increase that several, including me, argued was unnecessary.)

I remain of the opinion that unless the fed backtracks, this year, on that ill advised action(as I posted at the time) that there will be serious negative consequences.

Yet there may well be anyway. From my point of view productivity seems close to growing into the position where it's increase exceeds the rate of consumption increase. That's where *DEFLATION* occurs. Scary stuff.
