Of course, I disagreed, saying there will always be a need for large centralized servers or server clusters, especially in the back-end (where Sun is and where Itanium wants to be). But I wonder whether you would agree with my coworker regarding the peer-to-peer concept.

It least where the internet is involved, I think there will be more "peer to peer." But the limitation, in the internet, will be the same as it is now- network bandwidth (upstream and downstream), as opposed to cpu or software capabilities. Perhaps in the office their will be more peer to peer. The limitation there of course is software maturity, vis a vi security.
