So what we have here is a bunch of people surrounded as far as they can see by 3 feet of dead birds and after a day and a half they start to get sick. Hmmm. I would think it would be a miricle if they didn't all get salmonila.

Maybe God was angry that they wouldn't wait for the stuffing to be ready before they started feasting.

I think that you all have it wrong. When God breaks wind, a tremendous amount of methane gas must be generated, which would then kill the birds. Just like the canaries in the mines, the birds would be the first to go, then the people would become sick.

It probably didn't help that the people were cramming as many dead birds down their throats as they could hold. Ten homers sounds like a lot of birds to eat.
