Yep! It will be interesting if you like testosterone. <G>

Micron's always been aggressive and litigious. It used to be an under dog in the dumping litigation. Now it is one of the Dramurai that it used to sue so often. Now they are attacking an American company because they think their royalty fees are "exhorbitant". This is weak, very weak. The royalty is merely a cost of doing business that will have very little affect on their bottom line since all the other companies would be paying the same toll.

The complaint that they got snookered into making Sdram and DDR because they did not know that Rambus was applying for patents is curious. I do not believe an inventor has any duty to inform manufacturers of patents pending. If MU had wriiten Rambus a letter and asked them before they started producing Sdram and DDR whether it might infringe any current or future patents, I think Rambus would have told them yes. But they never asked! This points to Micron's own negligence. JEDEC has no power to authorize patent infringement.

If DDR turns out not to be worth much in the future then perhaps Micron is not risking anything of value. <g>

I would like to know if Rambus can void their Rdram license.
If Rambus can't void their license then Micron will be producing Rdram and paying Rambus anyway. <LOL>

It is hard for me to imagine that Micron will be trying to produce sdram and ddr ten years from now.
