Why does everything on this board have to come full circle to Clinton? So much vitriol.

The Republicans, including you, are wasting so much time and energy in continuing to attack Clinton after the fact. He was impeached but not convicted. Live with it. They/you would be much better off focusing on the Democratic platform instead. That's where you're going to pick up the remaining independent votes in November.

And I would disagree that Nixon was exiled from the Republican Party after the election. He was still much-sought-after, in the same way that Woody Hayes was still much-sought-after as an after-dinner speaker even after he slugged the Clemson kid at the end of the Gator Bowl. Hell, one of the first things that Clinton did after getting elected in '92 was to confer at length with Nixon. The Republicans may have discounted his value, but Clinton certainly did not in the area of foreign policy expertise.
