Interesting.<< To believe that there are no partisan on both sides of this for political gain would not be very smart. I do not believe that it is the Democrats who are orchestrating what you call the witch hunt, no doubt there are egos behind the investigation, there are people out there definitely interested in bringing down a former President. The leak may have well been an honest slip, I don't know. But, by in large the Republicans are well aware of the risk of a public backlash with regard to this issue, in an election year it's a no brainer.

Two comments.

1. For Ray to re-empanel a GJ, he must be very confident about getting an indictment. My guess is some new evidence since the original GJ.

2. Based upoon what has been reported in the press, I would guess the chances are at least 50/50 for a conviction. depends on the evidence presented and the skill of the prosecutor and defense attorney. You never know what's going to happen for sure at trial.
