I meant to tell you about being part Dalmatian. Dalmatia is on the Adriatic Coast. A lot of Dalmatians migrated to South Louisiana and South Mississippi to avoid being drafted, and because they were fishermen and boatmen in the old country, took up that way of life here. My great-great grandfather was a schooner captain, and my grandfather grew up fishing commercially, but he hated fish. He said the fishermen did not take care of the fish and he used to tell my grandmother not to give any to my mother, saying "You are not going to give that CRAP to that little girl!!!" He had a bad temper, which I seem to have inherited. Yugoslavians are famous for having bad tempers, but Croatians and Dalmatians don't hold grudges like Serbians do. This is the guy who became a beer truck driver, which he did all his life. I am also part English, German, Welsh, Irish, and most of all, Cajun.
