Mary - You're talking to a guy who tripled his position in INTC a few months ago "by accident" - I sold puts and the stock was put to me. Now INTC is my largest holding by a fair margin, and I am needless to say pretty happy.

I don't happen to think Itanium - or "Unobtanium", my favorite alias - is going to do much for INTC. Maybe McKinley.

Sure SUNW is vulnerable. I happen to think that MSFT's "Dot-Net" initiative represents a bigger threat than Intel's schemes, since if successful, it will "out java java" with a more portable, scalable and much lighter weight model. But we won't know for a while.
