Hyundai sues Rambus ->

SEOUL, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Hyundai Electronics Industries Co said on Wednesday it filed a U.S. Federal lawsuit against microchip technology provider Rambus Inc (NasdaqNM:RMBS - news) in a dispute over patent rights and royalties.

The suit, filed in a U.S. district court in San Jose, California, seeks to disprove Rambus' assertions that Hyundai Electronics is infringing on its patents and must pay royalties for the use of its technology.

``We think their patents are invalid and unenforceable,'' said Farhad Tabrizi, Hyundai Electronics vice president, adding that the suit seeks a declaratory judgment for non-infringement.
