Allan,

I was thinking about your post for a while tonight (when will the chit start to affect the everyday guy).

I still don't have an answer. It's a guessing game at this point. The hell if I know, the Dung could close the year at 6000 or 2000. It's clear to me the current street mentality is that the market can't go down before an election, which I think is enough to keep it up.

What seems to be unclear is what will happen after the election? I have no idea at this point.

I'm going out on a limb and calling for a rally in gold around the time of the election or shortly after. Who knows, but it seems very possible to me (maybe we already bottomed in gold?). I just can't figure out what can keep this POS market up after the election is done. It may ride for a few months into next year, but honestly, is there anything to justify this? Now we have the excuse of the election, what will it be next year? The lame duck period should be very interesting.
