they want to fight the beast with the wrong methods...by instituting more control. what they overlook is who is actually responsible for the bubble: it is the central banks, the very bureaucrats that are charged with providing 'stability'.

i fear that when the bubble finally implodes, the wrong measures will be introduced, in a sort of socialistic backlash, thus prolonging the post bubble misery...

what SHOULD be done is take away the power over rate setting from the CB's...leave rates entirely to the free market...take away from them the power to combat every crisis with even more printing and debt...

but that's of course not going to happen: we'll get MORE control, not less...

i like the idea of gold as a reference medium for money though...
