They should have been more "paranoid" a couple of years ago, so that they wouldn't in the position where they have to "force old technology". Are the stockholders getting their money worth on the $Billions Intel spends every year on R&D?

From the outside looking in, Intel looks more complacent than "paranoid". They need to go faster, not slower. Go back a year and look at the perceived competition, then take a look at it today. They are spending the currency that is the Intel brand, and that is their greatest asset.

I think they need a wake up call, and if the BOD is not involved, it should be.
