I did not say that tax rate reductions meant less revenues coming into government coffers. Reagan's tax reductions, however, mean less revenues coming into government coffers than there was spending. We all like less taxes. Reagan's, and now Bush's (this is the Dubya board, isn't it), game is the something-for-nothing scam. They give you the easy promises (tax cuts) without telling how to make the numbers work. As a by-product, they pay off all the big contributors to their campaign. The rest of us get zip. Tell me how to make the numbers work. Dubya doesn't seem to have the guts.
