DMA: You didn't disappoint me. I figured you were putting together some sort of list. For the record, you misquoted me in a few places. The list should read:

1. Raise taxes on the high end.
2. Increase the power of the federal government. (That one can stand as written.)
3. Decrease defense spending. (That one can stand as written.)
4. I said nothing about federal takeover of schools. I was totally misquoted there. What I said or intended to say is that we should increase the role of the federal government so that severely troubled schools could call on Uncle Sam for help, and receive assistance. If your school district is already superior, then no need for Uncle Sam to become involved.
5. I said nothing about federal takeover of local zoning laws. What I proposed to stem suburban expansion could be accomplished through more incentive programs so that people would rehab inner cities instead of pushing the boundaries of the urban area even further.

That's it. You were on target with two of the points, close on one and off target with the other two.
