Legal costs could get pretty high - a million or so per month per court is pretty much to be expected. Losing any of them would be very bad for Rambus. Winning any particular suit would be helpful but would be appealed by deep pockets. The RDRAM business is drying up and with all the lawsuits going on, it will dry up faster. How much cash does Rambus have available if this goes on for several years? Walking up to a half dozen guys, pointing a gun at them, and saying "give me your money or I'll blow your heads off" sometimes works and sometimes it turns out they have their own guns. These were all Rambus customers, once. Dan
