There is room for so much more creative freedom in dollars than in units.

Those accountants don't get the big bucks for nothin' :o)

But note folks, if units are actually up in a meaningful way this traditionally weak quarter, that will be fundamentally good news whether they hide the bucks or not.

This is something I just don't understand. Demand (especially for enterprise drives) is increasing by leaps and bounds. Component supplies are very tight and the drive makers can't build enough units. SO WHY DO THEY REDUCE PRICES ? Sorry for shouting, but it is just absurd. RDRT, HTCH, and INVX have doubled in the past few weeks, but the drive makers are in the gutter. I don't get it.
