Ha!

If these cases are decided on "summary judgment motions" I'll eat 'em. <vbg>

Hi CA-T,

If the folks around here expecting INTC to provide testimony in this case are correct, it is exceedingly likely that RMBS will reduce its royalty demands and, after sufficient groveling to MU, reach an agreement on equivalent and reasonable fees.

CA,

a "Motion for Summary Judgement and Dismissal of Suit" is likely to be filed and I am betting with my money all judges will say "granted".

If you want to throw your money away on foolish bets, I've got a bridge for you...

Re: I am betting with my money all judges will say "granted".

There are, I think, 128 counts in Micron's suit. Some of them, if not all of them, will be permitted to go to trial.

It will take weeks or months to determine if any of the counts is a proper subject of a motion for summary judgment. If you mean a motion to dismiss based upon the content of the pleadings (whether they state a claim) that can be determined sooner but if Rambus wins, there will always be leave to replead. In other words, there is no possibility anything can happen quickly.

Don't bet all your money on any stock, ever. Especially don't bet all of it on a stock in the middle of a make or break the company lawsuit.
