I respect your opinion greatly in this area and will give a lot of thought to your points..... I posted a comparison chart some months back (when you were away, I think) of LU, CSCO, and NT .... Here's a two year comparison with JDSU thrown in just for fun:

I think these charts are all about execution. And so, I am less willing to believe that execution will suddenly and dramatically improve merely because the businesses get broken off to do their own respective things. Of course, the breakoffs can sometime focus investors temporarily on the possibilities and cause a huge run up, like with 3COM and PALM. But LU is an NYSE stock with much less capacity to explode suddenly upward in price.

It is undervalued, but how much of that is a difference in the premium placed on the respective companies' management teams???
