Gary, didn't Barrett mention something yesterday about Linux not being prime time, in conjunction with the "Linux loop" or whatever it was program that exposed the 1.13 GHz PIII? Well, now, Intel is one of the "computer giants" sponsoring an "Open Source Development Lab" whose purpose is "aimed at broadening the corporate use of the alternative Linux operating system."
Not only that, but "The lab will be based near Portland, Ore., near some of Intel's facilities,..."

Barrett needs to think a bit more before he speaks. I'm beginning to wonder if Intel PR, or someone, told him to liven up his talk with an outrageous statement once in a while, because he's not exactly a dynamite speaker. Remember the "when will I stop beating my wife goodie?"

I guess I did buy tickets to this zoo, didn't I?
