JPQ, if there is not oil on the water, that is to say, if there is not enough oil somewhere to bring to a halt the draining away of stocks now in storage, then the oil patch is a game of chicken in which the winner wins by being the last one to bail before reaching the cliff. Why talk about oil rather than about what happens after going over? And what does going over the cliff mean? What form will it take -- inflationary fire or deflationary ice? I tend with Frost on this one -- from what I’ve tasted of desire -- I hold with those who favor inflationary fire, hence Slider’s “black to gold” makes sense. BUT I DON’T KNOW, and I know that I don’t know -- about oil on the water, about the consequences of it not being on the water -- so I sit in a high place and keep a sharp look out. El gaviero.
