No, we are in the suburbs of a major US city, not Central America. It is quite a chore to find a road within hours of here that having a 4x4 would actually be a good idea - like some old logging road. I bet 99% of those SUVs have never touched anything other than asphalt except when they run off their driveway onto the grass. -g-

We do get a ton of snow in the winter, but most people buy them because they are the cool looking in thing, roomy, and the "just in case" factor. A lot of women like them because they feel safer when they get in an accident and crush some hapless VW Bug. -g-
