OT>To all. . . . . . Unrelated To Trading. . . . NOTE: If you are not a regular here. . .there is no reason to read this long post. . . . .To All Our Leaders. . . So many of you have "invested" a large amount of time in your DD, picks, posts, analysis, etc. here on the HOME thread. And I greatly appreciate your every post. We would be nothing without your continued support and assistance. I figure that because so many have done so much here. . .that I am obliged to give a sort of progress report now and then. . . which is what I am submitting. . . albeit an extremely informal style. . . . But First. . . . Got a cool looking stainless steel plaque gleaming in the sun from S.I. . . .the MVP Award. One more "thank-you" to the thread for your votes on this and for your nominations in other categories. . . . Your Stories . . . . One thing about having my name in the header is that I get the pleasure of hearing all the fantastic stories. . . .hearing how individuals that were losers are now winners as a result of this thread. I hear from folks the world over. And I get the honor of hearing how kids will get to go to college after all. . .how families get to own a home after all. . . how bills are getting paid. . . and how lives are being changed! It is an honor to share in your joys. And it has likewise been an honor to have been included in important personal decisions, personal tragedies and just so many topics. . . some letters have been extremely difficult for me to respond. . . . . and I only hope that I have said the right things on those occasions. Mostly, I wish I could share each story I am sent with all of you. . . perhaps one day I'll make an anonymous compilation available. You just wouldn't believe some of the stories. I always appreciate hearing from each one of you and take great joy in reading some letters aloud to my family. Progress. . . . Due to the general difficulty in finding competent IT assistance these days. . . Things have certainly taken far longer than I ever thought possible. Even when you do find a good IT team, getting them to perform in a timely and ordered manner can be a real challenge. Sometimes I think our new home has been derailed more times than Amtrak. But alas, it is once more back on track and chugging right along. . . next stop, the net. . . . Home Life? . . . As you can imagine, every personal resource is being depleted in the building of the site. . . and nobody is more anxious to see it go live than my family and I. [I may have to treat the family to another outing once we go live. . .for their continued sacrifices and generous assistance to me and understanding of why I am always so busy]. . .and I seriously doubt many wives would have allowed their guy to go 2 years with no actual paycheck. . . as I've said in the past we've been living off royalties and commissions only, both of which have now diminished to next to nothing . . . . [I don't touch brokerage account monies.] So after 2 years of negative cashflow. . . my wife deserves the lions share of the credit when we do finally launch. . . . for putting up with so much website and so little of me for so long. . . . . . I mean. . .can you imagine? . . . aside from a few vacations, I've worked 100+ hour weeks for 2 years now. . . .yet she continues to say, "No I don't need anything this month, just go ahead and buy that software you need, Rande" It could have been done other ways. . . I've had several sets of businessmen show interest in bank-rolling, but Nashville is not the place to get investment in what is unseen. . . .California is. So as one means of staying "responsible" to my family, I will continue making myself available to serve on Boards of Directors of [mostly private] corporations. . .which doesn't require as much time as most other things I could do while waiting on the website to open. . . .offering my typical inside out view of things. . . . . . Worth the Wait. . . . Enormous thought has gone into "what is most needed?" for the Individual Investor/Trader to gain that all important advantage. And I believe that once every part and "phase" of our site is completed, that everyone will see how valuable and necessary the original vision was. Superior communications, organization, structure and features. . . which are simply not available anywhere at any price. . . make it a force, on behalf of the Individual Investor, like no other. Also, it is due to the proprietary, patent pending and completely original design ideas that the site is not launched yet and has taken so long to begin with. . . once we go live, other such companies will need to scramble to play catch up. . so we cannot risk a pre-mature release. This is not just another guru site like those built by local SI posters. . .not by a LONG shot. But rather a place where the whole is infinitely greater than the sum of the parts. I wish I could go into detail, [I cannot publicly]. . but suffice it to say that much is ready to go. . . but we will still need time for tweaking and sprucing things. . . and we still need and appreciate your patience. Once again, thanks for everything! I am blessed to share my HOME with such a fine group of people and I look forward to what is just around the next bend for us all. Rande Is
