In examining RMBS' dueling press releases, it is quite clear to me that while there were active negotiations going on with Hyundai, there were never negotiations or discussions with Micron.

The comparable phrases:

"In contrast to Rambus' preference to negotiate and settle amicable, Hyundai abruptly cut off further discussion with the commencement of litigation."

and

"Rather than negotiate, Micron chose to litigate."

The rest of the wording is practically identical.

Carl,

Rambus has pursued an interesting strategy of delivering an expensive, mediocre product, and then suing (or threatening) all of their customers.

I'll bet that Rambus board meetings are very interesting.
