RMBS denies Hyundai claims
--1:55 pm - By Chris Kraeuter
Rambus (RMBS: news, msgs) shares are down 5 percent. The company has denied allegations contained in a Hyundai Electronics Industries lawsuit. The lawsuit, announced today, says certain patents owned by Rambus are invalid, unenforceable, and not infringed by any Hyundai products. The suit was filed in response to an assertion of infringement by Rambus and a demand that Hyundai accept and pay royalties for a license under the Rambus patents. Rambus said it expects to prevail and to be paid. This suit comes two days after Rambus received a similar suit from Micron (MU: news, msgs). Rambus also denied Micron's allegations and said it expects to prevail in that suit. Rambus shares are down $4 to $76.63.
