stock moves like MSTR's and RMBS's just don't make much sense. Except for the occassional huge gaps (up and down) on some piece of news, they seem to act on something uncorrelated with business fundamentals.

I did hear that JDSU/LU news. Lots of conferences coming up so any scuttlebutt on these companies will quickly be dismissed.

re DLJ, their soon won't be too many commission shops left as CSFB brokers are all salary+bonus. Happy to see it. The SF shops seem to be some of the only commission shops left; Robertson, Weisel and H&Q.
