Andreas,

Do you think 3D OpenGL applications (read: games) profit that much from the higher memory bandwidth?

Any graphics card/app which moves a lot of texture data between DRAM and the graphics card via AGP4X will require significant DRAM bandwidth.

The transfer of large numbers of vertices between DRAM and the CPU, and between the CPU and AGP4X can also cause significant bus traffic.

Willy systems running SSE2 games will probably excel relative to Athlon/PIII systems.
