I would just like to get a clearer idea of what the suit itemizes.

Here is something else I don't understand:

dailynews.yahoo.com

In March Intel sued Broadcom in California Superior Court over the trade secrets claim. While the lawsuit is still pending, the court has issued a preliminary injunction blocking Broadcom from obtaining or using any Intel trade secrets and also appointed a monitor to ensure Broadcom's compliance.

If I read this correctly, the suit was filed back in March and the courts are already monitoring Broadcom to make sure they comply. Since the court monitor has not complained about Broadcom, what is the issue? Is Intel saying that the court monitor has decided to ignore the injunction? Also, I thought the procedure was to go to court and file a claim stating that the court monitor was not carrying out the court mandate (ie appoint a new monitor and/or stop the illegal BRCM action). It seems that no action by the court monitor and a new, fresh, lawsuit implies that Intel wasn't getting any traction with the old lawsuit and did not have enough grounds to insist on compliance.

Is anybody familiar with the old (still active) lawsuit?
