My favorite part was the story of Madeleine Slade, who was slain in the spirit at fifteen, only the spirit was Beethoven, not the Holy Ghost.
"'Why have I been born over a century too late? Why hast Thou given me realization of him and yet put all these years in between?'"

You know TC and I did those Beethoven sagas, and here is a real life version of our Hilda Hossenpfeffer Smythe, who "bore an uncanny resemblance to Beethoven, a likeness she encouraged by teasing her hair and repeatedly putting her hand to her ear, shouting, "Was? Was?"

Truth is stranger than fiction.
