First AMD news item I've heard in some that could conceivably be construed as a negative...If the recent pattern continues, AMD should blast through $36 tomorrow, on that hint of negativity!!!

John, congratulations to your first post on the moderated thread.

He didn't get fired, he just pursued other interests. Maybe he just wanted to do something different after five years leading the computation group? I don't think he's a great loss. His predecessor Vinod Dham was IMO much more capable in leading the computation group (he left after K6 was finished) and Hector Ruiz will IMO be that, too. After all I think that's good news. And do you really have concerns of AMD making the 3rd and 4th quarter after reiteration the guidance again (remember that we are already 2/3 through the 3rd quarter)? I don't think so.
