Oh, Jon, please lighten up. If you really think there is something serious to say about stocks, they'd really like to hear it on the new economy thread. Here, I'll even help you get there.

Subject 34520

If you like to indulge in self-serious pompous non-sense, there is plenty of it there. Just don't mention risk in buying QCOM at 80, or any of the hype/pump/dump non-profits, either. If you do, you'll probably be ejected, and you'll have to come back here and discuss the efficiency of fuel cells with HJ, or compressed natural gas with Victor.

Have fun.

If you think AMZN is worthless, either go off an talk about fuel cells in a more appropriate
place, or else continue to present an argument against AMZN.

Geezzz...I likely talk more about Amazon than anyone here. I do not even have a position any more. I do like the people here so I discuss lots of other topics although could you show me where I discussed fuel cells? I know they have been discussed here but I can't recall myself having that much interest in that area or at least much participation.

It's dismaying, though, to find a group of people intent on driving this thread off-topic like this.

Maybe. I am really pretty easy going. It is true Amazon has been discussed to death here. When a new development occurs within the firm, you likely will see comments pro and con. In the mean time, nothing has change from a FA or a TA point of view with Amazon for a very long time.

OK Jon, lets talk about Amzn.
Full disclosure: I still have some Amzn Jan 01 30 calls left.
>Amazon.com (AMZN: news, msgs) closed the day up $3.31, or 8.3 percent, to $42.94, after Goldman Sachs analyst Anthony Noto reiterated the firm's "trading buy" rating on the online retailer, saying he wasn't concerned about cloudiness in the company's revenue outlook. "Marginal revenue softness (which reflected macro-environment rather than Amazon specific) in a non-seasonal quarter has not concerned us as much as it has many investors," wrote Noto in a research note issued Wednesday morning. Noto said the company decision to enter the French market will allow it to take advantage of an attractive opportunity with only a minimal impact on results from initial set-up costs. He was also bullish about the company's decision to partner with Microsoft (MSFT: news, msgs), Toys R Us (TOY: news, msgs) and Hewlett-Packard (HWP: news, msgs) "as positive as all three are for cash, providing high margin revenue streams that contribute to operating leverage."
