I watched it, and commented on it. No one said to emphasize the scandals, but they are there, and there may be legal ramifications. People are tired of such stuff.......

TigerPaw: Excellent observation about the GOP being so preoccupied by the scandal that they failed to get out their message in '98. I think you hit the nail right on the head: They're doing the same thing again this year, as was evidenced by the speeches in Philly. Supporting that line of thinking -- with thanks to Frank for posting the story -- is the call by Gore to Dubya to start getting specific about some of his social service plans. Here's another thought: Maybe Dubya isn't getting specific because he first needs to receive the OK of all factions of the Republican Party. Just speculation on my part.
