Sam, Have been avoiding this thread bexcause this larceny is too upsetting. What did Morgan say the valuation range was for the operating businesses? Surely not $900 mil. Amazing that they gave no fairness opinion on the one portion of the transaction where management's conflict of interest made it imperitive. Morgan probably informed them they couldn't stick their neck out that far even though virtually everyone in the company has their stinking hands in the deal. How can Morgan conceivably even give a fairness opinion when that opinion is a key factor in getting the deal done, leading to their own self enrichment. This whole affair is disgusting. Where the hell is the SEC????
By the way, who is going to pay for the class action settlements that must surely arise from this? -Z
