In the name of MSFT shareholders, management should settle as quickly as possible and get on with business. MSFT is in a corner and should give a little to resolve this issue.

Am I the only one who thinks this thread is a little like watching Law & Order these days? Here's what I mean:

Lawyer: You should settle.

Accused: They want to send me to jail for 30 years, take away my house, cars, everything!

Lawyer: Be glad they aren't seeking the death penalty. Take the deal.

Accused: But I didn't do anything!

Lawyer: So?

Blisenko,

Spoken like a man with no principles. Instant gratification is expected by people without much knowledge of the market. Although MSFT has had a bad 8 months, the stock is up 600% in 5 years, better than about 95% of mutual funds, with much less risk. Gates believes he's right, and I as a long-time shareholder, believe he carries a lot more weight than Joe Klien, who knows little to nothing about the technology he is trying to suppress.knc
